Images of a short story

Look at the following images and try to invent a story based on them. Later on, in the classroom you'll hear the actual reading of a short story by the American Indian writer Sherman Alexie.
Some hints:
  • The setting is the Spokane Indian reservation in Wellpinit, Washington.
  • One of the ideas is that things would be really different if Columbus' ship had drowned before reaching the American continent.
  • He talks about the power of imagination to escape the harsh reality they (American Indians) have to live.
  • Americans use to use fireworks on July 4th.

Let's see how you manage!.
